Enrichment Grant

Young Music Student Enrichment Grant

Description of grant:

The Saint Joseph Area Music Teachers Association (SJAMTA) seeks to advance the value of music study and music making to society. SJAMTA’s Young Music Student Enrichment Grant helps young musicians (grades K-12) who play any instrument or sing as they seek to further their music education.

This grant may be awarded to fund music making at events such as:

• Workshops

• Summer music camps

• Master classes

To be eligible to receive this grant, the student’s music teacher must be a member of SJAMTA.

This grant may not be used toward regular lessons, competition fees, or purchase of music or instruments.

Each year, up to $1,000 may be awarded. It may be split between any number of students based on the number of applications received and the cost of the events the students will attend. When distributing funds, the grant committee will take into consideration the student’s involvement in SJAMTA performances and other performances in the community.
